Were you seen in 2016

Another great raceday at Adaminaby in 2016….

Well it’s that time of the year again; it only seems like yesterday that we were holding our annual race meeting with the theme “Sporting Hero’s” which was another huge success. This year it is “Racing for Pink” helping to support the McGrath Foundation place McGrath breast care nurses in communities across Australia and increase breast cancer awareness in young people.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the Farley Family for their longterm generous support and sponsorship of the Meekatharra Maiden Plate. Recently after many decades the Farley family are moving away from the area and the Adaminaby Jockey Club would like to wish David and Beverly Farley and family all the best in the new chapter of their life.

Another long term sponsor of the Adaminaby Cup feature race and local business owner Ron and Jan Rankin (Snow Goose Hotel) have also decided to take on a sea change and we wish them well in this change.

Support and help from the Cooma Monaro Race Club is always greatly appreciated, and we are only too willing to return the favour at Cooma’s annual race meeting.

I would also like to thank the NSW Correctional Centre Cooma Branch for their assistance in ground maintenance at the track.

As the year has gone past so quickly and we are racing again, the racecourse shows the dedication of the community and committee members in making this day one of the best days in the high country and on the NSW Country Racing calendar. I would like to thank each and everyone involved in getting this day up and running so that spectators can come and enjoy the family picnic atmosphere.

Not sure what next year’s theme will be but you can guarantee that it will be as good or if not better than previous years.
